What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie?
I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky.
The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing;
Rush in and die dogs--I was a man before I was a king!
---From The Road of Kings
In the sense of 'I wish you were here'? (Rather than 'I missed when I threw the book at you') We don't have a direct verb for the former unfortunately, so you'd have to say something like 'I'm sad that I cannot see...' or 'I wish that I could see...'
